I’ve got a headcanon request for ya’, chief! I kinda’ like, just want to see Alastor’s reaction if someone tried to hurt his S/O. Does he go absolutely nuts or is he eerily calm about it? You don’t need to answer this if you’ve got too much on your plate. No worries. :D

alastor is the type who cares about appearances. no matter what he has to appear as if he is in control. heartless. cunning. but even he has his limits
if he was there when someone tried to hurt his S/O
he would appear eerily calm, crushing them in an instant with whatever warped dark magic he has up his sleeve that will give them the worst and utterly unbearable ending possible, all with a toothy grin
he’d simply take your hand afterwords and say “well that was rather unpleasant. come along deary lets held back, shall we?” as calm and chipper as can be.
if you notice the way his voice crackles despite the forced grin you don’t say anything
its not until the two of you are back at the hotel and behind closed doors that he drops the act. he knows being with you meant you being in more danger than any “normal” resident of hell would be placed under but it doesn’t make him any less fearful of harm coming your way
he’s not the type to love easily, so if you’re dating its a delicate and uneasy process for him at times
after checking you over a thousand times and back for injuries he would insist on staying glued to your side for the rest of the day
its moments like these where he shows his extremely rare clingy side, a more vulnerable side of him for your eyes only and i cannot stress enough how rare it is

the second he heard that you’d been harmed? charlie was actually afraid for a moment the amount of dark uncontrolled magic the unresponsive demon was producing would actually destroy the hotel
he snapped his microphone stick in hand, all with a strained smile as he tried to keep himself from going berserk
miracle upon miracles though, he was nothing but a classy gentleman. one completely capable of keeping his emotions under control, wouldn’t do good to give the audience a wrong impression after all
even when it turns out you weren’t even that badly injured and hes checked you over the second angel helped bring you back in, alastor still wont be satisfied until hes taken care of things
he waits until you’re settled, 100% okay, and asleep that night before he heads out to destroy the dimwitted soul that injured you
no one was around to hear the screams, but even if there had been someone to witness the slaughter it wouldn’t have made much of a difference. not a drop of blood or gore was left behind to be seen in the alley either way
by the time he would get back and crawl into bed with you it would be well into the night
he’d attempt to be subtle but if you awoke while he slipped under the covers he’d simply press a kiss to the top of your head and go back to sleep now that hes gotten rid of the nightmares
